Friday Girl - shopping, travel and leisure for girls!
It's a girl's world It really is! And Friday Girl is the site that provides information and resources for women by women. Here you will find anything from recommended reads and shopping ideas to activity breaks and relaxing spa weekends.
If women didn't exist, all the money in the world would have no meaning
You can keep up with the daily lives of our editors by reading the (not so secret) Diary of a Friday Girl. And for those inevitable blue days we will try and provide a little bit of fun to lift the spirits with the odd bit of wittering, some gossip, recommendations and maybe even some shiraz-fuelled girly rants.
So book yourself a Friday Girl night in, pour some wine, get out the chocolate, pull up a comfy chair and flick through our site.
The latest Friday Girl gossip...
Ticketmaster are on a roll with improvements to their website and booking process. The latest (still being tested) is a feature that allows you to choose your own seat at the venue.
Something that really bugs me when you are buying anything online is when they display a price and then when you go through the booking or ordering process additional fees are revealed. Ticketmaster used to do this. You would see a ticket price and then find there was all these extra costs (card fee & postage fee) that amounted to quite a bit. You almost felt cheated, but you really wanted the tickets so you went ahead anyway.

On New Years Day 2010 instead of having (yet another) huge roast dinner we had a delicious brunch of bagels, smoked salmon, eggs benedict, croissants, fresh fruit salad, pates, cheeses and Bucks Fizz. It was yummy but we slightly overdid it with the smoked salmon and had lots left.
Christmas is over, festivities are done.
No time to relax yet; there are jobs to be done!
Take down the Christmas tree, remove the decorations and cards.
Clear the fridge of all the leftovers, empty cartons and pickle jars.
We have just published a post on Winter Driving Tips and I thought I would also take the opportunity to try and spread some Christmas driving goodwill.
Many parts of the UK are experiencing quite a lot of snow this Christmas season which can create quite hazardous driving conditions.
We wanted to share these Winter driving tips by GEM Motoring:

Peter Kay Tickets at the MEN
Peter Kay has added extra shows to his 2011 M.E.N Arena Farewell Tour on 4, 5 & 6 October.
There has been a lot of confusion over the digital switchover, with people thinking they already were digital finding they had systems that couldn’t cope with the new technology and so lost all their channels. The switchover is still going on throughout the UK and we’re sure more households will find they too can no longer get channels.
We love the online Christmas tool “Portable NorthPole” created by UpgroupMedia.
Portable NorthPole lets you create a personalised video message from Santa. It’s free to use, just like most free online tools you will need to provide an email address.
